Last summer I had the chance to work with some friends of mine on another music video. Will & Renée are an amazing Director/Producer team and were kind enough to invite me out to help photograph some behind the scenes photos of ERUPT’s new music video, “Art of Beat Making”. I already had plans that kept me from coming out on the second day of filming but grabbed some fun shots from the first day on set. It’s always rewarding to see the final product when talented friends get to collaborate.

I’ve been back from New York City for just a couple of days and I’ve barely made a dent in the photos that I expect to process. Hopefully I’ll be able to post them in the next few weeks but in the meantime I’d like to thank Anthony Quintano for the following experience. Not only did Anthony organize the photowalk and sneak me onto the set of Saturday Night Live, a show I’ve been watching since I was a child, staying up far later than I should but he also asked me to photograph a live chat segment for MSNBC. Here are some photos of Chris Jansing and Jose Diaz-Balart during their live video chat stream @ MSNBC – June 24, 2011.

Here are some behind the scenes photos I took a while back of my friend Ryan Kerr signing (and numbering) all 1000 of his books before starting his book tour. On Growing Up started as a University project which turned into something much more.

Spend enough time with me and you’ll learn about my fondness of Jim Henson and the magic he created with his muppets. After meeting Joel Brubacher, I realize there may be someone who loves that art more than I do. I first discovered Banjo Puppets a few years ago at the One of a Kind Show in Toronto and immediately fell in love. His monsters have so much personality whether it’s a head small enough to have the mouth operate by a clothes pin (like his popcorn monsters) or a full sized puppet like my new best friend, Norman.
